About Us...

Here we provide everything to keep the active mind and body stimulated and entertained. Our fully qualified and experienced staff, make learning fun within the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.

We fully acknowledge the importance to encourage our children in free play and self-expression. Consequently we have plenty of space with dedicated areas that infants can play, explore and experiment.

We operate a 1:4 staff ratio for our two year olds and 1:8 staff ratio for our children over three.

Role Play Area
An area which can be a kitchen, hospital, garage, office or even a space rocket, if that is what the children want it to be. Children can simply act out and develop their imaginations.

Small World Area
Whether in the doll's house, train station, farm, busy road network and garage, our children can use and develop their imagination and communication skills.

Construction Area
Modelling with a variety of materials, using the necessary tools and equipment, glue, card, wood, plastic, etc. along with different types of building bricks. Children learn the concept of size, weight and density i.e., big, small, heavy, light, soft, hard, etc.

Art & Craft Area
Using paints, crayons, pens, beads, string, clay, textiles, collage, glue, scissors, etc. Children learn co-ordination, co-operation, design and colour skills.

Service Provided

We provide safe, stimulating and fun care for children from 4 - 11 years old, Monday - Friday, 7.45am to 5.45pm, during school holidays (excluding Christmas)

- A Breakfast Club and After School Club for children attending local schools; Berry Brow Infants, Newsome Juniors and hillside Primary Schools
- We liaise and work with local schools to support the curriculum
- A fun Holiday Club for all children between 4 and 11, with activities and outings to suit all ages .....It's amazing how quickly children make new friends, when they're all having fun!
- Children can only leave club with a parent or a person nominated by a parent
- Visitors are welcome to our club, however, strictly by prior appointment

Care Team

The team are fully qualified child practitioners and play workers.

- All staff undergo rigorous enhanced DBS checks prior to appointment, which are regularly rechecked
- All are Pediatric First Aid trained and certificate holders
- All are Food Hygiene Handler trained and certificate holders
- All are Kirklees Safeguarding Children trained and certificate holders

Club Facilities

The spacious Newsome Scout Hall is base for our Club, where we provide children with an excellent choice of activities.
